A journey to independent learning.

Master Teacher & Coach

Children today carry extraordinary potential, but too often this potential is dulled by fear, pressure, comparison, and confusion. As a coach and educator, I work with clarity, structure, and sensitivity to how individuals learn and where they may feel blocked. While I am not trained as a psychologist, my approach is informed by long-term engagement with psychological perspectives on learning and human behaviour, applied thoughtfully and within appropriate boundaries. I support learners — particularly children — in rebuilding confidence, understanding their own learning processes, and progressing without pressure, rescue, or dependency.

The Mahutahu?! Education Gateway and materials exist to help children and young people regain balance in their learning — especially in environments where formal schooling, exams, or disruption have left them blocked, anxious, or disengaged. Mahutahu?! does not aim to replace schools, syllabi, or parents. Instead, it works with learners and families to help students understand how to learn, how to think, and how to navigate the education system they are in — calmly, responsibly, and sustainably.

Founder of Mahutahu?!

Every child is different. I invest in our relationship, preparing the right materials, according to your needs. I work with parents to guide and give direction to the child. I build confidence and self-worth, through my application of Independent Learning. Mahutahu?! is not tuition — it is structured, values-led coaching that restores clarity, confidence, and independent learning.

The Mahutahu?! Education Gateway is an online learning system designed to support independent learning through structured resources, guided clarity, and accessible materials for students and parents. It brings together coaching philosophy, curriculum understanding, and practical learning tools into a calm, navigable platform — supporting learners without overwhelming them, and empowering families to engage confidently with education.

At the heart of Mahutahu?! is a firm belief that: A child who understands how they learn will eventually outgrow the need for constant external support. I teach children how to learn independently, and how to think.

Scientist & Policy Expert

I am a scientist by rigorous training, grounded in the physical sciences and shaped by a deep respect for method, evidence, and disciplined inquiry. My academic formation in physico-chemistry, materials science, and solid-state magnetochemistry cultivated not only technical expertise but a scientific mindset — one that values precision, curiosity, intellectual humility, and the capacity to explore complex ideas without collapsing into dogma.

My work in policy spans over two decades at national, institutional, and advisory levels, where I contributed to the design and implementation of science, education, and development policies. I am experienced in translating complex knowledge into actionable frameworks, navigating governance structures, and aligning long-term vision with practical execution.

My policy work has always been guided by coherence, responsibility, and an understanding that sustainable systems must serve people. It is people who are at the heart of civilisation. It is truly knowledgeable people who understand that civilisation is what we build, and humanity is what we are.

Quiet Gratitude

I stand where I am today because I was allowed to grow, from where I came from.

London, where I was born and raised, gave me my first sense of the world. It was where I learned to listen, to observe, and to feel at home among difference. Those early years shaped my instinct for openness, fairness, and quiet resilience.

Malaysia gave me space — space to learn, to question, to return, and to belong. It is the land that held my curiosity gently, even when my path took me far.

France shaped my mind. Between the ages of nineteen and thirty, it was there that my thinking deepened, my discipline sharpened, and my love for rigour took form. It is where my brain crystallised — through study, challenge, and intellectual freedom.

To my parents, Dad, Hj. Muhamed Noor Bin Hj. Mahmud, and late Mum, Tunku Hjh. Sharifah Ainon Binti Tunku Syed Abdullah Al Qadri, I owe more than words can carry.

They gave me roots before they gave me wings — discipline before freedom, values before ambition. What I have built rests quietly on what they gave without asking to be named.

This work is not only mine.

It is the continuation of what was entrusted to me, what has been entrusted to me.
